Procrastinating Right Now

Yep.  I'm a procrastinator.  And I'm doing it right this very moment.  It's a nice day here in Ohio.  The sun is shining.  The temp isn't freezing.  I should be outside taking down Christmas lights.  And I should taking down decorations here in the house.  Neither of those is happening at the moment!!!  I know I need to do it.  I just don't feel like it!  I love putting the decorations up.  I don't like taking them down.  How much would it cost me to get someone to come over and put all of this away for me??  Anyone??????

My plan this week was to do lots of blogging...cause I thought I'd have the time.  Since the daycare wasn't open this week, I could go in when I wanted to and if I wanted to.  So I figured more free time for blogging and bugging all of you!!!  Clearly, that didn't happen.  I wasn't super busy.  Just a good busy.

Monday was the day I knew I wasn't going into work at all!!!  And I stuck to that.  I didn't go!!  I spent some good quality time with my friend Sarah!!

I got to see her and Destry's new house!  Love it!!!  Then we went to lunch at Happy Daz.  If you don't live around here then you have no idea what I'm talking about but that is some amazing food!  And Sarah's never been!  So I had to take her.  Our original plan was to go to a movie but nothing sounded too interesting to us so we went to the mall.  I'm not a big shopper but I wanted to look for shoes and to see the great sale at Bath & Body.  And she wanted to go to Old Navy.  And we just wanted to hang out.  I also picked up a few "after Christmas" Christmas presents.  We had a great time just talking and having some girl time together!!  Now that she'll be closer, hopefully we'll do it more often!!!

Then my best friend came over Monday night.  We hadn't really had a chance to spend Christmas together.  So we wanted to hang out for a little while.  We also got one of the chairs out of my livingroom.  I like the chair.  I just didn't need 3 in the livingroom.  The room was starting to feel cramped.  So she helped me take it out and take it to work.  (It's going in our office at work as soon as a few things get moved around in there.)  We just watched some tv.  Looked up things online and talked.  Nothing major.  Just a few hours to hang out.

I went into work on Tues.  I needed to.  We got a new comp and some new programs for the software we use.  So I got the new comp set up and mine moved over to Christina's work space.  And then her comp moved out and I'll hook that up in our break room for the girls sometime next week.  I got the new programs downloaded onto the comp and few things accomplished.  My friend Karen brought me Kewpee for lunch and hung out for awhile while I worked!!!

Tues night was Christmas with the Rex's.  We wanted to get a small Christmas in before Judy has surgery on the 3rd.  It wasn't like a normal celebration for us but we did get to spend a few hours together talking and catching up.  That's really all that mattered!

I worked again on Wed.  Got a few more things done.  Plus Christina came in.  Then I spent about an hour with my best friend helping her with something and then checking out this bookstore that I forgot existed.  I'm in love with that bookstore all over again!!  Then it was grocery shopping time.  I didn't buy much.  But enough to make some food over the next few days.  I'm not a big fan of grocery shopping.  Let me just point that out!!!  Then I came home and cooked!  I haven't cooked in forever!  I made some dishes for Christmas day but I haven't actually cooked to have dinner at home in weeks.  I've just been too busy.  But I did on Wed. night and it was soooooooooooooooo good!  I'm not bragging.  I'm just sayin!

Thurs. came more work.  And I worked a longer day.  I had more things I wanted to get done.  While I did the work on the comp, one of the girls that works for us came in to do some reorganization of files and stuff.  I got more accomplished but there were a few things I just couldn't do.  So I brought that home to accomplish this weekend.  You say yuck.  And most of the time, I would too.  But I don't mind being able to work from home sometimes.

I decided I didn't want to just come home from work last night and do the same thing.  I wanted to do something.  It didn't have to be major but I wanted to do something and I hadn't been to a movie in ages.  And my best friend wanted to hang out with me so she'd go where ever I went!  We decided on a movie...which was this whole process for me!!  I wanted to see Little Fockers but the reviews aren't that good.  I also wanted to see Black Swan.  I've heard great things about that.  But I wasn't sure Tera would sit through it and I didn't want her bored.  I also wanted to see Tangled but they weren't showing that in the evening.  I've heard great things about Unstoppable so that was on my list.  Then there was True Grit.  I'm not a huge western fan.  But I love Matt Damon.  It had great reviews and I knew Tera would have new problem sitting through that.  So after about a half hour of me begging her to pick, her refusing to do so, I decided on True Grit.  And I will admit, I enjoyed it.  It had the feel of a western but with the feel of modern day movies.  And Tera enjoyed every moment of it.  Especially since she already knew most of what would happen since she owns the original True Grit with John Wayne.  I thought it would be an early evening since we saw an earlier showing (which isn't normal for us) but Tera kept talking abou this new Tyler Perry play she had.  Madea's Happy Family.  So we decided to hang out at her place and watch.  YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!!!  Lots of singing which is typical for a Tyler Perry play.  But a great movie!!!  I loved it!!  Probably one of my favorites of his.  We laughed and laughed and laughed!!!  I definitely want to see it again.

OK.  Well, I have plenty more I want to blog about but I've already wasted enough time.  I've got to get some of these decorations down and out of my way.  It would be nice to have my livingroom back to normal by this evening.  Or this afternoon even!!!  Wish me luck!

(And Laurie, if you're serious about the tree, leave me a comment with your email address *I won't post the comment* so I can contact you about the tree.  Otherwise I think I'm going to just put it in the trash this coming Tues. night!)

New Year, New Me

New year, new me. Who says that? Ok, a lot of people so no offense if you’re one of them.  But I like me. Sure, I’m not perfect. But I don’t want to really change all of me.  So no silly quote like that for me! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here. The older I get, the quicker time flies by.  I do remember being told that when I was a teenager.  Those people were so right.  It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my quiet house while Johanna was off with friends celebrating the start of 2018.  But that was a year ago.  Today, I’m still sitting in my quiet house but that’s because Karyna is just waking up for the day.   A few years ago, I used to work on videos that would highlight my year.  I loved doing them but they took time.  And that’s time that I don’t have as much of these days.  It’s hard to go through a year of pictures and videos.  Do you know how many pictures I take a year?  My goodness!...

Friday Follow

How come when it's time to do the Friday Follow, I have nothing interesting to say??? Hmmmm...it's been a long week.  Days where things just didn't make sense.  Lots I need to process.  It's possible that all of my thinking will lead to a great post this weekend.  But for now, I just hope all of you new visitors find something interesting to read from other posts here.  I plan to spend this rainy weekend doing some thinking, relaxing, watching movies and checking out new blogs!  Sounds like a good way to spend the weekend, right?  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

New Cards!!!

So between resting this weekend (cause my allergies kicked my butt...especially yesterday), I worked on making some cards.  It's been SO long since I've actually spent time doing something like this and I LOVE making cards!  So I wanted to share them with you.  I made 20 cards total.  2 each of 10 designs.  So now there's two sets of friendship cards.  I think I'm going to try to sell one set.  Then I think give the other set away.  I'm just not sure how.  Any ideas?  I'm thinking if you leave a comment about the cards you'll be entered to win.  If you buy one set of cards, you'll also be entered to win.  Hows that sound?
