Lots of Names

Well, this is my fourth Friday in my apartment!!! It really does feel like home for the most part!!! Tera helped me...wait...I take that back. Tera MOVED my swing and table from mom and dad's a few weeks ago and so that is now on my deck! I love it!! Although, I have to admit that I haven't been home too much to enjoy it but at least I know it's there. Hopefully I'll get the chance to relax on my swing this weekend. I set my smoke alarm off the other night! That was funny! I was cooking a chicken patty and some fries in the oven. All of a sudden I hear this loud beeping! Of course once I realized it was the smoke alarm, I ran into the kitchen. Everything was good in there! Food was cooking just fine! Apparently it just got too hot in here for the smoke alarm. The funny part though is me standing on the chair trying to figure out why the alarm won't quit chirping every 45 seconds...even after I took out the battery! So after a text to the landlords (who laughed), I realized that the alarm is hooked up to the power in the house so the battery is only for backup! And so I continued reading the instructions on the inside of the alarm and the chirping would continue for 7 minutes until the alarm reset itself. Annoying. But it did stop chirping!!!

My scrapbook room still isn't together but that's ok. I've got plenty of time. I'll get there. I haven't had much time for sitting to scrapbook or make cards anyway. But hopefully that will change soon too.

I have a new neighbor downstairs. Her name is Candice. I haven't had a chance to really get to know her yet but she seems nice enough! I don't really hear her around. Hopefully she doesn't hear me.

9 days til my birthday!! (Well, almost 8 now!) Honestly though, I'm not as excited as I usually am. I'm sure part of it is that I'm getting older. Really, who cares about 31?? Yes, I'll be 31. But it's been a long year too since my 30th birthday so I'm just hoping that 31 is better. I have no plans. Sad, huh? Oh well. What do you do for your 31st birthday anyway? Take a nap! Since my birthday is on a Sun, that's probably honestly be what I do!

I GOT A FISH!!! I've been wanting one since I moved in and tonight was the night.

Meet Raelee Gracie-Marie Lambert!!!  Yes, she has 3 names!!  But there's a reason.  I decided I wanted her to have a name that meant something to me.  At first I wanted a silly name but that just didn't work.  So I went with the middle names of 5 people that mean quite a lot to me.  3 of those people have changed my life drastically in the last year (in a good way).  Another has been an amazing friend for about the last 9 years or so.  The other has been my friend for the last 16 years and is absolutely amazing.  So the names Raelee Gracie-Marie actually belong to 5 people in my life.  2 people actually share the Marie.  And Gracie is really Grace.  That's all the info I'll give you!!!  Hopefully those 5 people can figure out who they are...cause they have been AMAZING and I can not imagine my life without them.  God placed each of them in my life for a reason.  I just hope they know how much they mean to me.  Maybe one of these days I'll blog about just them.  I'd love to share what an impact they've each made on my life!  And I hope Raelee enjoys her new home!  That's not the bowl I wanted to get her but I am living on a budget.  I have a feeling though I'll give in and buy her the one I wanted in the first place.  It was so cool!!

I must say CONGRATULATIONS to a friend who just moved!!!  She found something she loves.  And she's so happy!!!  I love to see to see the smile on her face and the excitement in her voice as she talks about the changes she's going to make in it.  And I love knowing she has a place to call her own.

Hopefully I'll blog some more this weekend.  My head is hurting tonight so I think I'm going to curl up on my couch and watch Vampire Diaries.  It's the new show on the CW that came on last night.  I taped it so I could watch it tonight.  I doubt it compares to Twilight but I'm sure it will hold my attention!
