Movie Reviews...Just in Case You Want to Hear...

First of all, thank you to my new followers!  It's kind of strange, really.  I did do that whole Friday thing yesterday in order to gain new readers and to find some new blogs to read.  But it's strange knowing that people you don't know are reading your thoughts.  But that's ok.  I kind of like it!  Hopefully I don't bore you.  My friends and family are used to me being boring.  You may not like enjoy it as much!

So I've got two movie reviews for you...just in case you want to hear my opinion.  First of all, let's talk about Avatar.  I finally saw it.  And I must say, I was one of those people who said they wouldn't watch it...ever.  Cause when I think of blue people, I think of the Smurfs!!!  And I loved the smurfs!  I didn't want anything ruining that image for me.  But I watched it tonight.  And I must admit, I found myself enjoying it!  I was rooting for the blue people!!!  I was on their side!  It's definitely a different movie.  If you plan to watch it, don't go into it thinking this is your typical movie experience.  Cause it's not.  But it is a pretty good movie and it's absolutely beautiful.  I can't even describe to you the colors and the scenes...amazing.  So it was worth watching it.

My second review is on How to Train Your Dragon.  I've been wanting to see it.  It just looked cute!  And honestly, I love kids movies!  I may be 31 but there's nothing like a good kids movie!  So I was looking foward to this one but hadn't convinced anyone to go see it with me yet.  Then I had Stella on Friday night.  Her 3 year old self LOVES movies (and her Dee Dee) so we had a "date" and went to see How to Train Your Dragon.  I think I was more excited than she was!  I loved every moment of it!  And we both came out of the movie wanting a dragon!  And so we hit the stores...and there was no Toothless to be found.  Bummer.  But that's ok.  We'll look again soon.  It was a great movie.  A feel-good movie.  So even if you don't have kids, go check it out!  It will make you smile!  You can never smile too much!

My house is in need of some cleaning.  Any volunteers?  I went shopping last weekend.  I had been saving up.  And a friend and I spent two days spending all of my money!  If I say I like it, she tells me to buy it!  She's not good for my checkbook (but good for my soul)!  Anyway...I got lots of new stuff...stuff I had been wanting, stuff I wanted to buy when I moved in but couldn't afford it...the list goes on.  But in order to put the new stuff in, the old stuff has to slowly go out.  And that's the annoying part.  So lots of things need put away.  Other things need packed up and given away.  Some of it needs thrown away.  And today wasn't the day.  I had Kale's 3rd birthday party which is FAR more important than cleaning.  Then tonight I had...well, nothing.  Which was also FAR more important than cleaning.  So that's the goal tomorrow.  To get everything put away and the way it should be.  Wish me luck!

I had this idea today.  I'm sure other people have had the idea as well.  But just pretend it was my idea alone...just for a second.  I'd kind of like to try doing a video journal.  I don't know why.  I don't mind writing or typing my actual journal.  Plus, half the time when I'm writing in my journal, I'm in my jammies, my hair is a mess and I need a shower.  And even though the shower doesn't matter much when on video, the rest of it does.  And since I'm being honest, half the time I don't have a bra on either!  That can not happen in a video...just in case anyone ever gets their hands on it.  Has anyone ever done their journal this way?  I'd like to hear what people think about the whole idea.  It kind of intrigues me a little!

Tomorrow is Sunday Stealing and hopefully that will trigger a blog a little more interesting than this!  I'm holding out hope!!  (I imagine you are too!)

New Year, New Me

New year, new me. Who says that? Ok, a lot of people so no offense if you’re one of them.  But I like me. Sure, I’m not perfect. But I don’t want to really change all of me.  So no silly quote like that for me! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here. The older I get, the quicker time flies by.  I do remember being told that when I was a teenager.  Those people were so right.  It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my quiet house while Johanna was off with friends celebrating the start of 2018.  But that was a year ago.  Today, I’m still sitting in my quiet house but that’s because Karyna is just waking up for the day.   A few years ago, I used to work on videos that would highlight my year.  I loved doing them but they took time.  And that’s time that I don’t have as much of these days.  It’s hard to go through a year of pictures and videos.  Do you know how many pictures I take a year?  My goodness!...

Lots of Names

Well, this is my fourth Friday in my apartment!!! It really does feel like home for the most part!!! Tera helped me...wait...I take that back. Tera MOVED my swing and table from mom and dad's a few weeks ago and so that is now on my deck! I love it!! Although, I have to admit that I haven't been home too much to enjoy it but at least I know it's there. Hopefully I'll get the chance to relax on my swing this weekend. I set my smoke alarm off the other night! That was funny! I was cooking a chicken patty and some fries in the oven. All of a sudden I hear this loud beeping! Of course once I realized it was the smoke alarm, I ran into the kitchen. Everything was good in there! Food was cooking just fine! Apparently it just got too hot in here for the smoke alarm. The funny part though is me standing on the chair trying to figure out why the alarm won't quit chirping every 45 seconds...even after I took out the battery! So after a text to the landlords (who laughed), I r...
