I hate to sound like I'm coming up with excuses...because I'm not! The evenings just got away from me and I forgot all about the challenge! I'm so sorry! Let me try to catch up!
Day 23: Favorite Vacation
Hmmmm...that's probably a tie. Well, probably a 3-way tie! As a freshmen in high school, the band and choir went to Disney World. That was my first time on a plane (that I remember) and my first time in Florida!!! And my parents weren't there!!! I loved it!!! We had so much fun. Singing on the bus to the airport. Then the security at the airport didn't find me funny (and this was WAY before 9/11). Lots of laughing. Lots of firsts for me. I loved it!!!! The other two were my two vacations to Gatlinburg. One with my mom and her best friend Jill. The second this past summer with my friend Sarah. Hanging with my mom as she experienced Gatlinburg for the first time was tons of fun!!! Then of course, LOTS of shopping with my friend Sarah! I loved them both!
Day 24: Something I've Learned
Hmmmm...that sometimes my mind gets the best of me. That sometimes things are much worse in my head than they are in real life. Sometimes things are worse in real life than in my head. I like the quiet...more than I thought I did.
Day 25: Put your iPod on shuffle, first 10 songs
I don't have an iPod. Just an MP3 player and the battery is dead. Sorry.
Day 26: Picture of My Family
Oh my...I don't think I have a pic of my immediate family! Not all of us anyway. I think that will be a goal for this Thanksgiving for sure!!!!
Day 27: Pets
Awwww...my pets!!! There's Snoodles...the dog that lives with Mom and Dad. Dad is in denial but she really is mine. Mom and I headed out one Sat. before Valentine's Day to buy Dad some chocolate (he's easy to please). I begged her to go into the pet shop just to see this dog my co-worker Gayle had told me about. She said she was such a cute dog. Mom agreed. And there in a kennel was Snoodles. And oh so cute!! So Mom let me take her around the store for a walk. And she was such a good dog. She wasn't barking like all of the other dogs. If we stopped walking, so did she. If we told her to lay dog, she did. She even let Mom walk her around the store. So I started begging...a little! I was 25 and never had a dog!!! And she was soooooooooooooooooooooooo cute! Then the sales lady says to us, "Do you think you're going to buy her? Cause if not, we have someone else on their way in to buy her." That was all it took. Mom didn't want anyone else showing her up!! So she agreed to get Snoodles (she came with the first name) as a Valentines's Day gift for me (and she said I needed to share with Dad). Dad looked at us like we were crazy when we came home. I was sure he was going to make us take her back. But Snoodles knew what she was doing. She snuggled up at his feet. And he got suckered in. Now she has him wrapped her around big paw!!! I miss her. I miss her running me over everyday when I come up. I miss her driving mom nuts as she runs around in circles. I miss her just plopping down in the middle of the backyard when she really should be running. But I couldn't bring her with me. And I doubt Dad would have let me. And she is Dad's protector. She's where she needs to be. But I wish she was here sometimes.
Fish aren't quite the same, but dang it, my Raelee has lots of personality! I've had her a little over a year. And yes, I say hi to her everyday when I get up and everyday when I come home from work. You can call me silly. I don't care! She knows who I am! Look it up. Betta fish recognize faces. She's a little special ed...but if she was normal, she couldn't be mine!!!
Day 28: Something that Stresses You Out
Hmmmm...I'd say my perfectionism about some things stresses me out. Like making cards. Or when I do decorations at work. Stuff like that...stuff people see. I know things can't be perfect. But I want them to be. Not because I want people to notice. Just because I want people to love what it is. So whether it's a handmade gift or some crazy thing I've put together at work, I want people to enjoy it. So I stress about it.
I think that catches me all up...I think!
