I wanted to make sure I posted this pic!!! At the child care center I work at, we have an Autumn Harvest Party every year in the evening. The parents bring their kids and most of our classrooms have some kind of project to do. This year we had a puppet show in one room. You could put icing on a pumpkin cookie in another room. You could search through leaves to find prizes. Silly stuff like that. Plus we had snacks so everyone could spend some time together. Just a few hours of family fun. This year I wanted to make a cut-out for kids and their families to take their pictures with. We had one a few years ago but it got ruined when the storage room got some water in it. I didn't make the last one. And I wasn't sure I was capable of making this one. I had lots of ideas. But once I had the boxes in front of me, I was nervous. Tera volunteered to help and we did lots of drawing (OK, tracing...I can admit that). And then painting!!! And then once it was done, we couldn't get it to stand up!!! Stella's dad (who owns a moving company) even sent out one of his guys to help us to get it to stand up. Didn't work! He had to send him along with another guy back out the day of the part to see what they could do. Some more boxes and wood made it stand! I was soooooooooooo thankful for them!! I hated to do all of that work and that not be able to stand it up and use it. It's now in storage. I'm not sure if it will last up there but oh well. It was fun this year. Here's a pic of Dawn and I in it! I actually like how it turned out!
New year, new me. Who says that? Ok, a lot of people so no offense if you’re one of them. But I like me. Sure, I’m not perfect. But I don’t want to really change all of me. So no silly quote like that for me! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here. The older I get, the quicker time flies by. I do remember being told that when I was a teenager. Those people were so right. It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my quiet house while Johanna was off with friends celebrating the start of 2018. But that was a year ago. Today, I’m still sitting in my quiet house but that’s because Karyna is just waking up for the day. A few years ago, I used to work on videos that would highlight my year. I loved doing them but they took time. And that’s time that I don’t have as much of these days. It’s hard to go through a year of pictures and videos. Do you know how many pictures I take a year? My goodness!...
