Catching Up

OK!!!  I'm getting all caught up today!!! 

Day 16: Dream House
I wish I could draw.  I'd draw you a picture of my dream house.  I'm not really a country girl but I want a house on a little bit of land...with the wrap-around porch.  It has to have a swing on it.  Maybe two.  One in the back and one in the front.  And somewhere in the backyard, I want a gazebo.  I don't want anything big or extravagant.  Just pretty.  And laid back.

Day 17: Something I'm Looking Forward To
Hmmmm...I don't know.  Definitely the OSU/Michigan game where our Buckeyes kick some Wolverine butt!!!!  Oh!!!  I'm so excited about Harry Potter and Breaking Dawn (both part 1's) coming up in just a few weeks...the day after each other.  I CAN'T WAIT!!  I'm going to be so tired but it's going to be so worth it!

Day 18: Something I Regret
October 2008.  I'm leaving it at that.

Day 19: Something I Miss
Something I miss about what?  Or who?  I miss being 9.  Life was easy.  I loved being 9.  It was the perfect age for me.  I want to go back!!  And just stay there.

Day 20:  Nicknames
Should I really post this????  Stella, Keagen and Kale (and Kiah soon I'm sure) all call me Dee Dee.  Shanda and Kelly call me Dee.  And they're honestly about the only people who do.  It's cause I love them!!!  Mom wasn't big on nicknames.  She named me Deidra.  She wanted people to call me Deidra.  And they did...til Kelly came along!  I won't post what Mom calls me...still!!!  Kelly calls me that too.  And Dad used to call me puker...and still does from time to time.  We're not really sure why.  I didn't really puke much as a child but I remember doing it once and dad calling me puker and it stuck.  Hey, he was called Uncle Yuck by lots of his nieces and nephews so I can't complain about puker!  I won't go into what Tera calls me...almost on a daily basis.  But they definitely fit my personality!

Day 21 (I'm all caught up): Picture of Myself

I don't like pictures of myself but here's one from back in Sept.  It's ok.  Most are worse than this so this is the best you're getting!

Now I'm all caught up and tomorrow I can go on with day 22!!

I'm not really looking forward to this week.  I have a few meetings along with the viewing and funeral for my friend's dad.  Ugh.  I'm trying to enjoy today and not really worry about the days that lie ahead.  I know it doesn't do me any good.

New Year, New Me

New year, new me. Who says that? Ok, a lot of people so no offense if you’re one of them.  But I like me. Sure, I’m not perfect. But I don’t want to really change all of me.  So no silly quote like that for me! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here. The older I get, the quicker time flies by.  I do remember being told that when I was a teenager.  Those people were so right.  It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my quiet house while Johanna was off with friends celebrating the start of 2018.  But that was a year ago.  Today, I’m still sitting in my quiet house but that’s because Karyna is just waking up for the day.   A few years ago, I used to work on videos that would highlight my year.  I loved doing them but they took time.  And that’s time that I don’t have as much of these days.  It’s hard to go through a year of pictures and videos.  Do you know how many pictures I take a year?  My goodness!...

Lots of Names

Well, this is my fourth Friday in my apartment!!! It really does feel like home for the most part!!! Tera helped me...wait...I take that back. Tera MOVED my swing and table from mom and dad's a few weeks ago and so that is now on my deck! I love it!! Although, I have to admit that I haven't been home too much to enjoy it but at least I know it's there. Hopefully I'll get the chance to relax on my swing this weekend. I set my smoke alarm off the other night! That was funny! I was cooking a chicken patty and some fries in the oven. All of a sudden I hear this loud beeping! Of course once I realized it was the smoke alarm, I ran into the kitchen. Everything was good in there! Food was cooking just fine! Apparently it just got too hot in here for the smoke alarm. The funny part though is me standing on the chair trying to figure out why the alarm won't quit chirping every 45 seconds...even after I took out the battery!
