YOU'VE BEEN ASKING...

I know, I know, I know...sometimes I stay right on top of things and other times I can't manage to blog once a week!!! Shame on me!!! Sorry about that!

If you're someone who has been keeping up with myspace or just talking to me here in there in general, then you've probably heard me mention something about a photography class or something. And so many people have been asking what I'm talking about, I figured I better answer! (Plus I've got some free time this morning! So you're in luck!)

About...maybe a year ago, I requested some information about photography classes. I had heard they had a few around here but none of them fit into my schedule...or budget quite frankly. So I requested some information from an online school. I briefly looked over it, thought it sounded interesting, mentioned it to a few people and well, that was about it!!! Well, I want to say before Christmas, I started giving it some more thought. I actually came across the brochure and stuff while cleaning an area of my work space (it was on the bottom of course). And I have to say, I was inspired a little by my friend Staci as well who has decided to take an even BIGGER step towards doing something she wants to try!! So after looking at the brochures over and over and over and over...again. And talking with a few people and just really praying about it, I decided to sign up! I officially signed up on the 16th!

I've been so excited about it!!! You know, I started Heavenly Creations...unofficially...probably 4 years ago. Maybe 5 actually! And it started as photography. (And my love for photography is what got me interested in scrapbooking and card making!) I really want to bring that back and I believe that more knowledge of the subject will really help me accomplish that. Plus I'd love to do some freelance work in photography (along with writing...that may come later).

I've done two units already. The first one was really easy. Just basic stuff about really getting into online schooling, getting into the habit of studying with a schedule and all of that! The second unit - NOT SO EASY!!! So I'm going to start my third unit today...and just from the look of it, it's going to be even harder! But that's ok. I'm still excited!! I want to know more and learn more! So I'm ready!!

When it's all said and done, I'll have a diploma for photography (they have a name for it...it's just too cold for me to remember it right now)! It could take me as little as 5 months or as much as 18 months (I'll be paying for it for that long that's for sure). Right now, I think I'm a little ahead but we'll see how that goes after this lesson.

So wish me luck!!! And be praying for me!!! I'm excited but I know as I get busy with other things, it will be a little harder for me to stay on track. I'll do my best to keep you updated and as I start to take some more pictures with the new information I'm learning about, I'll make sure to share those with you!!!

New Year, New Me

New year, new me. Who says that? Ok, a lot of people so no offense if you’re one of them.  But I like me. Sure, I’m not perfect. But I don’t want to really change all of me.  So no silly quote like that for me! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here. The older I get, the quicker time flies by.  I do remember being told that when I was a teenager.  Those people were so right.  It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my quiet house while Johanna was off with friends celebrating the start of 2018.  But that was a year ago.  Today, I’m still sitting in my quiet house but that’s because Karyna is just waking up for the day.   A few years ago, I used to work on videos that would highlight my year.  I loved doing them but they took time.  And that’s time that I don’t have as much of these days.  It’s hard to go through a year of pictures and videos.  Do you know how many pictures I take a year?  My goodness!...

Friday Follow

How come when it's time to do the Friday Follow, I have nothing interesting to say??? Hmmmm...it's been a long week.  Days where things just didn't make sense.  Lots I need to process.  It's possible that all of my thinking will lead to a great post this weekend.  But for now, I just hope all of you new visitors find something interesting to read from other posts here.  I plan to spend this rainy weekend doing some thinking, relaxing, watching movies and checking out new blogs!  Sounds like a good way to spend the weekend, right?  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

New Cards!!!

So between resting this weekend (cause my allergies kicked my butt...especially yesterday), I worked on making some cards.  It's been SO long since I've actually spent time doing something like this and I LOVE making cards!  So I wanted to share them with you.  I made 20 cards total.  2 each of 10 designs.  So now there's two sets of friendship cards.  I think I'm going to try to sell one set.  Then I think give the other set away.  I'm just not sure how.  Any ideas?  I'm thinking if you leave a comment about the cards you'll be entered to win.  If you buy one set of cards, you'll also be entered to win.  Hows that sound?
