Almost

The Thirty-One National Conference is almost here!!!!!!!!!!!!  And you're probably thinking that I'm super excited since I'm writing a post about it!  And believe me, I am.  But I am nervous too!!!  Why???  Let me name the reasons for you!

1.  The drive.  I like to drive.  I like to think I'm a pretty good driver.  I don't mind silence in a car.  (And it's rarely silent...my music is usually blaring if it's just me!)  And really, after the drive 16 hour drive home from Savannah, GA, I think I can handle the 8 hour drive to Atlanta.  But I've never driven to Atlanta.  I drove through it YEARS ago on the way to Florida with friends.  But driving through it is different than finding my way to something IN Atlanta.  And I know I'll be fine.  But still makes me a little nervous.  Would have been nice to have a friend with me to laugh with when I miss a turn or get stuck in traffic (cause I imagine I will once I get into Atlanta) but that's ok.  I'm going to spend some quality time with God for sure!

2.  PEOPLE.  PEOPLE.  PEOPLE.  I like people!  I don't like CROWDS of people.  And I'm about to spend a few days with THOUSANDS of people.  If anything makes me super nervous, it's this.  And now only will I be with THOUSANDS of people...I will be with THOUSANDS of people I DON'T KNOW!!!  Talk about sending me into some kind of mental breakdown!  My goodness!  Am I outgoing?  Yes.  Do I like to talk?  Yes.  But these things happen when I'm surrounded by people I know.  When I'm around people I don't know, I literally shut down.  I don't say much.  I try to smile so you don't think that I'm thinking evil thoughts, but inside the butterflies are flying around EVERYWHERE and I'm shaking inside.   Yep, I'm admitting that to you.  But with that said, I know there's a reason I'm going this year.  I know that God has something special.  I know that I will be ok.  But for those of you who will be there, if you see me just sitting quietly, it's not because I don't like you, it's simply because I'm out of my comfort zone.  And quite frankly, I often like my comfort zone!

3.  Life was beyond crazy last week.  Mom was in the hospital and between trying to work, work while I was at the hospital, stay on top of things with mom and sleeping, I felt like a crazy person.  I still do.  I feel so behind in all of the things I should have been doing last week.  And that's ok.  My mom is worth it! (& she's now home and getting better.)  But I don't like feeling rushed and I am a little!  But hoping that I can get my packing done and just relax until it's time for my trip.

4.  Traffic!!!!  I'm not from a big city.  I don't live in a small town either.  But we don't run into major traffic jams simply because everyone is heading home for the day.  That's exactly what I'm going to run into once I get into Atlanta.  Traffic, traffic and more traffic.  Not my thing.  Praying my GPS is good to me!

5.  Leaving Buckeye.  I know...I can hear you say it...he's a dog!  But he's my baby boy!  And even though I'm gone everyday at work, he's my buddy.  And he's never really with anyone else. He will be in good hands with my friend Judy.  I know that.  She'll be loving on him a lot I'm sure!  But I'm still nervous.

But with all of that said, I really am excited!!!  I'm praying that this is what I need to take my Thirty-One business to the next level!  I'm excited to meet some of the people on my team (my Director is from Florida).  I'm excited to see the new fall catalog of course!  I'm excited to see what new ideas they have in store.  I'm super excited to see Cindy Monroe!  And did I mention they have praise and worship?  This girl right here LOVES praise and worship!  I'm just as excited about that as I am anything else!  I can't wait to share pics with you and all of the things I've learned!!!  I honestly just can't wait!!!

New Year, New Me

New year, new me. Who says that? Ok, a lot of people so no offense if you’re one of them.  But I like me. Sure, I’m not perfect. But I don’t want to really change all of me.  So no silly quote like that for me! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here. The older I get, the quicker time flies by.  I do remember being told that when I was a teenager.  Those people were so right.  It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my quiet house while Johanna was off with friends celebrating the start of 2018.  But that was a year ago.  Today, I’m still sitting in my quiet house but that’s because Karyna is just waking up for the day.   A few years ago, I used to work on videos that would highlight my year.  I loved doing them but they took time.  And that’s time that I don’t have as much of these days.  It’s hard to go through a year of pictures and videos.  Do you know how many pictures I take a year?  My goodness!...

Friday Follow

How come when it's time to do the Friday Follow, I have nothing interesting to say??? Hmmmm...it's been a long week.  Days where things just didn't make sense.  Lots I need to process.  It's possible that all of my thinking will lead to a great post this weekend.  But for now, I just hope all of you new visitors find something interesting to read from other posts here.  I plan to spend this rainy weekend doing some thinking, relaxing, watching movies and checking out new blogs!  Sounds like a good way to spend the weekend, right?  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

New Cards!!!

So between resting this weekend (cause my allergies kicked my butt...especially yesterday), I worked on making some cards.  It's been SO long since I've actually spent time doing something like this and I LOVE making cards!  So I wanted to share them with you.  I made 20 cards total.  2 each of 10 designs.  So now there's two sets of friendship cards.  I think I'm going to try to sell one set.  Then I think give the other set away.  I'm just not sure how.  Any ideas?  I'm thinking if you leave a comment about the cards you'll be entered to win.  If you buy one set of cards, you'll also be entered to win.  Hows that sound?
