32 in 60 Days

My birthday is coming up...on the 20th!!!  And I'll be 32!  I don't feel 32.  And no, I don't feel older!  I feel like I'm still in my 20's.  I know I've grown as a person, but because I'm pretty low-key gal, I feel like life is about the same as it was.  I don't know if that makes any sense without further explanation so I'll leave that alone for now.

I've decided to make a list.  A list of 32 things (in honor of my 32nd birthday) I want to do before it gets terribly cold.  So Nov. 12 is my cut-off.  That's 60 days from tomorrow (if I did my math right, counting tomorrow).  So I'm about to come up with 32 things I want to do by then.  I don't care if I do them by myself.  I'm at that point in my life where I'd love to hang with friends and do them, but if not, I want to do them anyway.  May sound lame to you but oh well.  Ready????

1.  Go to the reservoir and watch the sunset (and of course take pics).

2.  Get some new pictures of myself!  (Ha ha!)

3.  Go to the zoo.

4.  Read two books.

5.  Read my Bible everyday...even if it's just a few verses (which is why I'm going to participate in Good Morning Girls).

6.  Not complain about ANYTHING for a week (this could be a challenge some days).

7.  Write an inspiration note and leave in a book for someone to find.

8.  Find a personally inpirational quote and work it into a piece of art or scrapbook page or handmade card.

9.  Take an online photography class.

10.  Write some bad memories.  Shred the paper and throw them away.  They'll no longer be a part of my life!

11.  Clean out my closet.

12.  Write a letter to myself to open in 10 years (assuming I can find it then).

13.  Send 5 friends real letters...snail mail style!

14.  Actually put money in my savings...and leave it!

15.  Pay for someone's drive-thru order that's behind me.

16.  Send my Aunt Bettye a card.

17.  Take ONLY my Bible and notebook with me to a beautiful, quiet place to read.

18.  Don't text while driving for a week straight (I've got to break this habit).

19.  Do a puzzle.  A big, cool puzzle!  (Which means I need to buy one!)

20.  Reread "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."  I gotta be ready when part 1 comes out in November!

21.  Eat out on my deck.  I cook out there but have never eaten out there.

22.  Start a prayer journal.

23.  Start a savings for a new car (I still have a few years on the loan I have but I want to be better prepared next time).

24.  Go to that Christmas store in Michigan.  What's it called??

25.  Go to IKEA.  Man, I love that store!  I could definitely get some good Christmas presents while I'm there!

26.  Go one week without fast food.

27.  Go one week without buying anything but essentials at Wal-Mart (this could be a huge challenge).

28.  Surprise someone with cookies and brownies...for no reason!  And include a note!

29.  Design a new wedding invitation for Heavenly Creations.

30.  Plan a handmade Christmas gift for someone.

31.  Play board games one night!  (This one will definitely have to be shared with someone else.)

32.  Listen and do something for someone who's unsuspecting...without giving them my name.  It could be simply leaving them a note of encouragement.  Or buying something they need.

Please encourage me to do these things!!!!!  And I plan to keep you all updated!!!

And the games... we should so do that!! I have been wanting to play a couple games lately, but just never take the time.

You have inspired me! I need to do this kind of list of things to do before I turn 28 in just over 6months!

New Year, New Me

New year, new me. Who says that? Ok, a lot of people so no offense if you’re one of them.  But I like me. Sure, I’m not perfect. But I don’t want to really change all of me.  So no silly quote like that for me! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here. The older I get, the quicker time flies by.  I do remember being told that when I was a teenager.  Those people were so right.  It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my quiet house while Johanna was off with friends celebrating the start of 2018.  But that was a year ago.  Today, I’m still sitting in my quiet house but that’s because Karyna is just waking up for the day.   A few years ago, I used to work on videos that would highlight my year.  I loved doing them but they took time.  And that’s time that I don’t have as much of these days.  It’s hard to go through a year of pictures and videos.  Do you know how many pictures I take a year?  My goodness!...

Friday Follow

How come when it's time to do the Friday Follow, I have nothing interesting to say??? Hmmmm...it's been a long week.  Days where things just didn't make sense.  Lots I need to process.  It's possible that all of my thinking will lead to a great post this weekend.  But for now, I just hope all of you new visitors find something interesting to read from other posts here.  I plan to spend this rainy weekend doing some thinking, relaxing, watching movies and checking out new blogs!  Sounds like a good way to spend the weekend, right?  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

New Cards!!!

So between resting this weekend (cause my allergies kicked my butt...especially yesterday), I worked on making some cards.  It's been SO long since I've actually spent time doing something like this and I LOVE making cards!  So I wanted to share them with you.  I made 20 cards total.  2 each of 10 designs.  So now there's two sets of friendship cards.  I think I'm going to try to sell one set.  Then I think give the other set away.  I'm just not sure how.  Any ideas?  I'm thinking if you leave a comment about the cards you'll be entered to win.  If you buy one set of cards, you'll also be entered to win.  Hows that sound?
