Predictions and Such...

Oh, Facebook seems to think it's funny.  And I'll admit, I laugh.  But I laugh at a lot of things!  You know those silly Facebook quizzes that we all know are ridiculous but we do them anyway?  (And we claim it's because we're bored but in all honestly, we are curious.)  I've had three of them so far this year say that I'm getting married in 2016.  I find this quite comical for many reasons but the biggest reason being I'm not even in a relationship.  Who exactly does it think I'm going to marry?  Maybe they need to create a quiz for that!  How do the creators of these quizzes come up with these things anyway?  I have to admit though that Facebook isn't the only one claiming I'll get married this year.  I had a co-worker predict it before the end of the year.  Apparently people know lots of things I don't know!  (Maybe I should start saving some money for this event!)

But just in case you were curious, I've always wanted to get married in the Autumn, outside and the reception be close to sunset.  I am a girl.  I have definitely been dreaming about this the majority of my life!

I really don't have much to share about 2016 so far.  It's been a great year (it is only the end of January).  But then again, I'm not one to really complain about things.  And since I don't live in an area that got 30 inches of snow recently, I'm extremely happy!  There are a few things happening in my life that I'm enjoying but it's nothing to report on at this moment.  (Hee, hee.)

Life isn't all roses, of course.  I'm just working really hard to concentrate on what's good.  It's tough at moments.  I'm blessed with friends that remind me of what's important and who also pray for me.  That's makes a huge difference in my life.

God is doing big things at my job and I am so thankful!  He always has been.  That's always been evident to Christina (my boss) and I.  This business is His.  And over the last 7 years, there have been some very tough moments.  But we stuck it out and we depended on Him.  And as always, He's provided more than we could have imagined!  We continue to thank Him and we are so excited about how things have changed for us.  It really is a great feeling!

Do you own a Fitbit?  If not, I don't know whether to encourage you to get one or not!  I have one.  And I've had one for years but I had the smaller ones and it seemed none of my friends had one so to be honest, I didn't pay much attention to mine.  But I upgraded right after Christmas.  Several of my friends got one.  And now, our lives are planned around these things!  My friend Sarah sent me an article yesterday called 19 Very Real and Emotional Struggles of Having a Fitbit (or Does Your Fitbit Have You?) and I was laughing before I even read it!  I'm in several challenges with friends during the week and we do a lot of (friendly) smack talking to see who's going to win.  And if our Fitbits aren't on our arms, we aren't walking around. We don't want those steps to be wasted!!  Believe me, the struggle is real!  My boss and I both have one and you should see us!  There will be times in the day where our co-workers will come into the office and we're just standing at our desks taking steps to make sure one of us gets ahead of the other!  I even got attacked by nerf guns one day because I was too busy concentrating on my steps instead of worrying about the retaliation that I knew was coming thanks to my own nerf attack!  But with all of that said, the challenges have really kept us all accountable in being more active.  You don't have to run a marathon.  You don't even need to run.  But you've got to get up and move.  So even though it's clear that our Fitbits have us, the addiction is still being used for good!

Have I mentioned I miss college football?  I'll watch the Super Bowl.  I always do.  And I watch college basketball.  I just don't watch it as faithfully as I watch college football (I don't plan my life around OSU basketball games like I do the football games).  And I miss it!  I'm refraining from doing a countdown at the moment but I definitely can't wait till it's back.  I'm ready and it's only January!!

New Year, New Me

New year, new me. Who says that? Ok, a lot of people so no offense if you’re one of them.  But I like me. Sure, I’m not perfect. But I don’t want to really change all of me.  So no silly quote like that for me! It is hard to believe that 2019 is here. The older I get, the quicker time flies by.  I do remember being told that when I was a teenager.  Those people were so right.  It feels like yesterday that I was sitting in my quiet house while Johanna was off with friends celebrating the start of 2018.  But that was a year ago.  Today, I’m still sitting in my quiet house but that’s because Karyna is just waking up for the day.   A few years ago, I used to work on videos that would highlight my year.  I loved doing them but they took time.  And that’s time that I don’t have as much of these days.  It’s hard to go through a year of pictures and videos.  Do you know how many pictures I take a year?  My goodness!...

Friday Follow

How come when it's time to do the Friday Follow, I have nothing interesting to say??? Hmmmm...it's been a long week.  Days where things just didn't make sense.  Lots I need to process.  It's possible that all of my thinking will lead to a great post this weekend.  But for now, I just hope all of you new visitors find something interesting to read from other posts here.  I plan to spend this rainy weekend doing some thinking, relaxing, watching movies and checking out new blogs!  Sounds like a good way to spend the weekend, right?  :-)  Thanks for stopping by!

New Cards!!!

So between resting this weekend (cause my allergies kicked my butt...especially yesterday), I worked on making some cards.  It's been SO long since I've actually spent time doing something like this and I LOVE making cards!  So I wanted to share them with you.  I made 20 cards total.  2 each of 10 designs.  So now there's two sets of friendship cards.  I think I'm going to try to sell one set.  Then I think give the other set away.  I'm just not sure how.  Any ideas?  I'm thinking if you leave a comment about the cards you'll be entered to win.  If you buy one set of cards, you'll also be entered to win.  Hows that sound?
