Moving

When my parents and I moved onto the west side of town 5 years ago, I said I was never moving again. MOVING SUCKS!!! The new place you're going to is great! But packing up stuff from the years SUCKS. And the longer you've been there, the more crap there is to go through. Ugh.

But I'm moving!!! And I'm excited! My friend Tera and I found a great little place actually not far from where I am now and not far from work. And instead of driving into work 30 min one way everyday, Tera will only have to drive a few minutes. It's a duplex. We're on the top (with this great deck). It's nothing extravagant. Just a nice little place for us. A great little place to start. We're excited! (OK. I am and Tera is as excited as she gets about anything!)

We officially move in on Wed. And yes, we plan to work all day on Mon. too. It's going to be a busy week for us. Especially since neither of us have done any packing! :-) But life has been busy. As most of you know, I'm the interim director at my day care while our director is on maternity leave. That's enough work right there!! Tera is working in my place in the nursery. Last weekend was my 30th birthday so I was gone most of the weekend. I got OSU tickets for my birthday! So we got to see OSU win! (Also got to experience a kid puke right behind us. GROSS!) Then my friends surprised me with dinner at LaChaeradda's (or however you spell it). Delicious! I got to wear the big sombrero as the guys sung to me and put whip cream on my face. (Yeah, I'm not a big fan of whip cream but it was still funny!) So life has been busy! But good. Then we spent Sun. with the Rex family. I love spending time with them! We went bowling (I won both games)! And Judy and Blaine cooked an amazing dinner!!! Lots of fun with my favorite people!

This weekend I got to spend with my favorite girls. I had Stella Fri. night and then came over to Melissa and Emily's for the weekend while they're mom and dad were gone. We just hung out and chilled. And Emily made me smile a lot! (As usual!)

I'm going to spend a few more hours with my favorite girls when they get home from church. But then it's home to pack and clean for the rest of the day. Doesn't sound exciting. It won't be I'm sure. But it needs done if I plan to move on Wed! Don't worry. I'll email everyone today with my new address. And you'll all get to see some pictures! I've got pictures we took a few weeks ago before we decided for sure on it. I'll try to get those up today. And then I'll take some pictures this week as we move in and get situated. I'll do my best to keep my blog updated too so you all know how the moving day goes!

Lots of Names

Well, this is my fourth Friday in my apartment!!! It really does feel like home for the most part!!! Tera helped me...wait...I take that back. Tera MOVED my swing and table from mom and dad's a few weeks ago and so that is now on my deck! I love it!! Although, I have to admit that I haven't been home too much to enjoy it but at least I know it's there. Hopefully I'll get the chance to relax on my swing this weekend. I set my smoke alarm off the other night! That was funny! I was cooking a chicken patty and some fries in the oven. All of a sudden I hear this loud beeping! Of course once I realized it was the smoke alarm, I ran into the kitchen. Everything was good in there! Food was cooking just fine! Apparently it just got too hot in here for the smoke alarm. The funny part though is me standing on the chair trying to figure out why the alarm won't quit chirping every 45 seconds...even after I took out the battery!
